So, you want to bring a JCC Audiobooks program to your
community, but you don't have the funds to do it yourself.
What
are some possible options?
Make It A Fundraiser
- By selling copies of
The Nazi Officer's Wife, or audiobooks
offered by JCC Audiobooks, you can make back your costs, plus earn some
money for your group as well.
Work with Neighboring Organizations
- Often, different groups in one community will want to enjoy the
same JCC Audiobooks program. Universities, synagogues, day schools,
Jewish federations and Boards of Jewish Education can all help sponsor
the costs of a program. Some communities are big enough to have the
program in several locations, with each sponsoring body sharing just
the costs of the costs of travel and lodging.
Apply for a Grant -
The local Jewish federation, and often, the Board of Jewish Education
as well, will help defray the costs of a JCC Audiobooks program that
is open to the entire community. To access this money typically requires
a very simple application and some follow-up phone calls.
